Ligand - Surface Modification
Choose your surface functionality.

Surface functionality is introduced by adding a surfactant or self assembled heterobifunctional polyethylene glycol (PEG) monolayer (HS-(PEG)-X) to the gold nanoparticles where X designates the functional group, e.g. methoxy (methyl).

PEG Size - Surface Modification
Choose the length of the polyethylene glycol (5kDa PEG standard) used to create the surface monolayer . This allows you to adjust the distance between the functional group and the gold surface.

If you choose to modify the surface with two different sized PEGs please indicate the ratio of the two components in the box below, e.g. 1/100 means 1 carboxyl group for each methyl group.

Note: This option only applies if you choose amine, carboxyl, biotin or a methyl surface modification. For carboxyl and amine functionality the PEG size is 3kDa instead of 2kDa.

As an option you can choose a reactant free formulation, which is additionally purified compared to our standard preparations. Reactant free formulations have equal to or less than 1% residual by-products remaining from the manufacturing process compared to or standard formulation that is 95% pure.
