Cytodiagnostics organic soluble semiconductor CdSSe/ZnS core/shell quantum dots (fluorescent nanocrystals) are functionalized with a small alkyl ligand and are available with emissions from 450nm-665nm. 

In comparison to traditional quantum dots, Cytodiagnostics Trilite™ Fluorescent Nanocrystals are tuned by composition rather than size resulting in all particles having the same diameter (5.5nm-6.5nm) regardless of emission wavelength.

These fluorescent nanoparticles are ideal for applications in e.g. nanoelectronics and opto-electronics or for further functionalization with various polymers and ligands.
